Looking deeper at the causes of weight gain and illness

After almost 20 years of being a nurse practitioner, I realized that my approach to helping others has changed. It was interesting to see many of my same patients returning with similar or new symptoms.

What I came to find is that I needed to look deeper into the core issues of my patients’ symptoms. Why did they repeatedly get sick or feel they needed to be seen again?
Then I realized it is not just about treating patients symptoms. Asking patients about their stresses is just as important as asking about their physical complaints.

A simple inexpensive test can tell us more information then we thought. With the high rate of heart disease, we can monitor our risk of heart attack sooner and start prevention earlier.
