An Upside to Video Game Violence?

With so many people “gaming” for fun, we need to ask if there are any benefits to playing video games.

More research is looking at just that. For some patients with chronic pain, studies are finding that playing video games can increase pain tolerance and reduce pain perception in children and young adults.

I’m not sure if we will see this in our dentist or doctor waiting rooms any time soon, but I do think it may be a good idea for patients under going cancer treatments or in pain rehab clinics.
