Some new findings from the Women’s Health Initiative Study (WHI) have caught researchers and the publics attention. Observational findings have shown that there were 32% fewer cases of invasive breast cancer in women who were taking bisphosphonates for osteoporosis than those who were not taking these drugs. These drugs include Fosomax, Actonel, and Boniva.
Considering these were observational findings, randomized clinical trials will probably be initiated soon.
