If you haven’t read the 36-page article in Time Magazine yet about our out-of-control health care costs, at least read this summary.
It effects every one of us…
We have an expensive health care system that is bankrupting us because our government does not set rates for hospital costs, medications, procedures and the prices charged by health care providers.
Hospitals are charging $1.50 for 1 Tylenol pill when a whole bottle (100 pills) costs $1.49! This is only one example of the outrageous charges that we as consumers are expected to pay.
Our discussion on health care policy is too focused on who should pay the bills, instead of the most important question, “Why are the bills so high?”
