Stand up instead of sit. It may sound easy, but count how many hours (especially if you work at a desk) you sit and it may be a detriment to your health.
This study found that those who sat for most of the day, were more than 50% likely to die of a heart attack!! WOW..thats alot!
And it doesn’t even matter how much you exercise or eat. In other words…sitting is an independent risk factor for dying of a heart attack.
Standing, and especially walking also stimulates our kinesthetic senses. Research has shown that walking helps with learning, creativity and retention of information. Even if thats just walking to the water fountain.
So find reasons to get up out of your chair…stretch, get something to drink, stand while talking on the phone, etc.
These healthy habits slowly add up and may help you live longer.
