Let’s face it… health care prices are out of control.
Who dictates these prices? Americans see doctors less often and use fewer mediations compared with people in other developed countries, but it’s the total cost of care and the higher prices for virtually all of our medical goods and services in the United States that is separating those that can and cannot afford health care.
More and more people are taking responsibility for their own health care and shopping for better prices for procedures and services. There needs to be a system in which prices for services are transparent and widely accessible, so they can be easily compared before we decide on the care that’s best for each of us.
