I recently went to a seminar that discussed cutting edge information about the future of wellness. We looked at the relationship between inflammation and the most common disease states in our country, ie. heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disease and osteoporosis.

The amazing thing about these diseases is that 75% of these illnesses can be modified, while 25% is in our genes. How our genes respond to the environment determines what symptoms will be expressed. Gene expression and how our cells communicate to each other (and what they say) is the new paradigm in healthcare. How do we protect our cells from the toxic world we live in and repair and heal damage that’s been done? The first step is eating well.
